We are delighted to announce the launch of the official Essex Therapy Dogs App—another exciting milestone in the growth of our charity.
Since Essex Therapy Dogs was founded in November 2021, we’ve grown from just five volunteers and ten therapy dogs into a charity with more than 420 volunteers and 380 therapy dogs, providing emotional support in hospitals, schools, care homes, hospices, universities, airports and community settings across Essex.
As our charity has grown, so too has the need for systems that support our volunteers and help us manage the charity efficiently.
The launch of our bespoke volunteer app is a significant step forward.
Supporting Our Volunteers
Designed specifically for Essex Therapy Dogs, the app provides our volunteers with a secure and convenient way to manage their membership, update their personal and therapy dog information, upload important documents and keep their records up to date.
By bringing everything together in one place, the app will help reduce administration, improve communication and allow our team to spend more time focusing on what matters most—supporting our volunteers as they make a difference across Essex every single day.
As the app continues to develop, we’ll be introducing new features to make volunteering with Essex Therapy Dogs even easier.
Built Especially for Essex Therapy Dogs
Unlike off-the-shelf software, the Essex Therapy Dogs App has been designed specifically around the needs of our charity and our volunteers.
The project has taken many months to develop and represents a significant investment in the future of Essex Therapy Dogs.
